L-Awtorità ta’ Malta għall-Kompetizzjoni u l-Affarijiet tal-Konsumatur tiffirma ftehim kollettiv ġdid għall-impjegati tagħha

Illum, l-Awtorità ta’ Malta għall-Kompetizzjoni u l-Affarijiet tal-Konsumatur (MCCAA), il-General Workers Union (GWU) u l-Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin – Voice of the Workers (UHM), iffirmaw il-ftehim kollettiv ġdid għall-impjegati tal-MCCAA.

 

Il-ftehim, li jkopri erba’ snin jibni fuq dak ta’ qablu, u permezz tiegħu l-impjegati se jibbenefikaw minn titjib fost oħrajn fis-salarji, li jirrifletti salarji attwali fis-suq. Opportunitajiet għall-progressjoni fil-karriera, miżuri favur il-familja, u flessibliltà fil-ħinijiet tax-xogħol lkoll kienu mtejba għas-saħħa fiżika u mentali tal-impjegati.

 

Il-pakketti tas-salarji se jippremjaw l-impjegati li jagħtu sehemhom f’din l-entità, u se jippermettu biex l-Awtorità tilqa’ impjegati ġodda, u tkompli ttejjeb is-servizzi li toffri lill-pubbliku.

 

Il-bidliet li se jġib miegħu il-ftehim kollettiv tal-MCCAA huma frott diskussjonijiet bejn il-partijiet kollha nvoluti, li fl-istess ħin riedu jtejbu l-kundizzjonijiet tal-ħaddiema.

 

Iċ-Chairperson tal-MCCAA, l-Ing. Helga Pizzuto, irringrazzjat il-partijiet kollha nvoluti tal-ħidma tagħhom lejn dan il-ftehim.

 

Is-Segretarju Parlamentari għall-Protezzjoni tal-Konsumatur u Valletta 2018, Deo Debattista, emfasizza li l-iffirmar ta’ dan il-ftehim juri l-impenn tal-Gvern li jsaħħaħ il-kundizzjonijet tal-ħaddiema, għaliex dawn huma kruċjali fil-viżjoni tal-Awtorità.

 

 

The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority signs a new Collective Agreement for its Employees

 

This morning the Malta Competition Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA), the General Workers Union (GWU) and the Union Haddiema Maghqudin – Voice of the Workers (UHM), signed a new Collective Agreement for MCCAA employees.

 

This four-year Collective Agreement builds on the previous one and the employees will benefit from several improvements, including salary increases which reflect the current market salary-trends. Opportunities for career progression as well as improvements in the family-friendly measures and more flexibility in the working hours have been upgraded aimed towards both the physical and mental well-being of the employees.

 

Salary packages are aimed at rewarding those employees who have been working hard with this entity and will also enable the Authority to attract to it new employees, to continue improving in the efficiency of its services to the public.

 

The changes brought about in the new MCCAA Collective Agreement are a result of fruitful discussions between the working parties involved so that the Authority will continue with its strategy to develop further its services, at the same time ameliorating the working conditions  for the its employees.

 

MCCAA Chairperson, Ing. Helga Pizzuto thanked all parties concerned for working tirelessly towards the settlement of this agreement.

Parliamentary Secretary Consumer Protection and Valletta 2018, Deo Debattista emphasised that signing this agreement shows the Government’s commitment to strengthen the workers’ conditions, as they are key to deliver on the Authority’s vision.
